Welcome to Serendipity Designs

Serendipity was established in 2003 since when we have gone from strength to strength with a continually expanding portfolio of new and highly satisfied repeat clients. Our premises are located in the quaint Lincolnshire town of Barton upon Humber close to all the local motorway links giving quick and easy access to a large geographical area across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and beyond.

Our name ‘Serendipity’ originates from the way in which the business was formed combined with the dictionary definition:-

Serendipity – (noun) – the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way’

The two partners by chance joined their business and manufacturing experience with a view to providing benefit and happiness to highly satisfied clients. They now do that on a daily basis:-

Sarah Walker
Sarah has a Degree in Banking and spent 20 happy years working for a large PLC Banking organisation at management level before deciding upon a career change more in line with her creative skills. From a family background that includes a building company she has vast experience in design and planning. Sarah has in excess of 20 years experience of manufacturing curtains and soft furnishings together with NDA (National Design Academy) qualifications.

Elaine Adamson
Elaine has considerable experience in textiles and manufacturing having worked for a number of medium sized companies covering a successful 25 year career. Positions have included direct manufacturing and over more recent years in a management role responsible for production, quality and training. Elaine also has a number of qualifications including the prestigious NDA qualification.
